Providence Human Capital (PHC) is a wholly owned Zimbabwean company which was founded in January 2016. Its core business is to provide corporate services management, focusing on people solutions. It provides Afrocentric, flexible, innovative, customised best practice solutions to its clientele. The services offered include outsourced Payroll Services, Human Resources Consulting, Employee and Corporate Wellness as well as Staffing Solutions. Though our services still take up a conventional guise, our delivery is heavily influenced by the philosophy of Hunhu/Ubuntu and this is even evident in the numerous Afrocentric initiatives that have seen us naming and norming our departments and we have called this the Chitubu Phenomenon. Chitubu is a Shona word meaning an oasis which is known to bring about medicinal, healing and rejuvenating powers. It is also an oasis in our Zimbabwean context in that it symbolises rest, being ever-green and fertility despite being in the middle of a desert. This was therefore the bedrock of our naming and norming of our departments, with Hunhu as our moral core.
